Sky Golf have announced the next generation of their Skycaddie GPS Rangefinders, the Skycaddie SGX.
Sky Golf announces the Skycaddie SGX due for release in May 2010. The SGX features a new slick look and is a departure away from the look of the existing skycaddie rangefinders. It has a durable 3 inch LCD screen providing bright and vivid color images even in direct sunlight.

The Skycaddie SGX contains a number of Sky Golf’s existing technologies such as HoleVue™ and Intelligreen® as well as introducing a few new ones.
SmartClub™ TechnologyExpected to be released later in 2010, SGX SmartClub Technology adds intelligence and a wireless communication link to each club in a golfer’s bag. Upon removal of a club from the golfer’s bag, SmartClub Tags located at the butt end cap of the grip establishes a direct communication link with the SkyCaddie.

SGX Club Reminder™Utilizing SmartClub technology golfers will be alerted if a club is left behind before the player advances to the next hole. SGX Game Tracker™ This utilize the same technology to capture the club used, the geo-location and distances of each shot, while eliminating most of the effort and distraction of manual entry. Combined with Club SG, Sky Golf’s online web portal, players can upload their stats for further analysis and improvement.

The SGX can store up to 30,000 preloaded courses with basic green information, its enhanced storage offers the capability to maintain up to 50 full-featured courses in the SGX at one time with Sky Golf’s unique ground-mapped advanced and reliable information in the game.
